The 2008 TED Gift Bag
Every year, one of the exciting parts of the TED conference is the TED gift bag. It is always filled with a broad variety of items from new technology to software, hardware and as one attendee phrased it this evening, just good old fashioned shwag.
I’ve attached an image of this year’s bag. Without a doubt, the bag itself is one of the most beauiful components of the gift package this year. The bag itself is developed by a new company called Rickshaw Bag Works, brainchild of former Tibuk2 CEO Mark Dwight, and is a work of art, functional, high-quality and green. For the program 1600
special bags were produced in 800 unique color combinations (so only two of us have the same bag). They are made from 100 percent post consumer recycled beverage bottled. From the waste fabric, the company also provided us with wallets and Iphone cases. This is a bag company that is going to play a major role in the luggage market in the future.
